Job brief
We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer & Designer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout. You will build websites from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.
The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior user interface design skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling websites
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Web Design experience
- 1-2 years of proven experience in web programming
- Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, or Python
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies
